Four years ago, Janis and Shelby felt a stirring they couldn’t ignore. They looked around at the countless faces of women—women just like them—yearning for something deeper. These women were faithful believers, already walking with Jesus, but they longed for more than surface-level faith. They wanted to live their faith in a real and transformative way. This mother/daughter duo have built a business that you want to know about. Janis is part of The Worthy Campaign and we were able to also take branding photos for Real Live Faith. When I asked them what three words describe their business Janis said, “Women, discipleship, faith.”

It wasn’t that their love for the Lord was missing—it was alive but dulled by the busyness of life or the weight of the world. They battled questions of how to make Bible study a consistent habit, how to apply God’s Word to their lives in the day-to-day, or how to press closer to Jesus when their faith felt sluggish.

The mother and daughter, both walking their own journeys of faith, knew this struggle well. But through God’s grace and guidance, they had also discovered the joy and freedom that came when His Word moved from being words on a page to the foundation of their lives.

That’s when Real Live Faith was born.

Real Live Faith was born out of a passion for God’s Word and a heart for God’s people. From the beginning, the mission was clear: to help women grow in their relationship with Jesus by showing them how to live out their faith in tangible, life-changing ways.
