Being a mom and wife for over 30 years has definitely been one of my biggest blessings. It has also been a season of putting others' needs and wants ahead of my own most of the time. When I saw the opportunity that Jessica was offering with her 40 Over 40 Project, I immediately knew I wanted to participate. Jessica had taken our family photos five years ago, and I knew she was an amazing photographer.
I had not been professionally photographed alone since my wedding, and felt it would be a great gift to my family for years to come. Even though I feel like I am not the ideal version of myself physically right now, it is what I look like and how my family will remember me. I wanted to be the best version of that in these photographs, and Jessica definitely made that happen. She made me feel beautiful from the fitting session all the way through the delivery of my Folio Box. Jessica was just as excited about my family's reaction as I was. Having these portraits taken was something very out of character for me, but I am so happy I did it. I am so proud of how they turned out, and I loved surprising my family and seeing their jaws drop when I revealed the Folio Box to them. One of my sons said, "I'm so glad you did that!"

I highly recommend women sign up for this photoshoot opportunity with Jessica. I felt like I could never get a picture of myself that I was happy with. Honestly, I had my doubts that it could even been done. I figured if it could be accomplished, it was going to require a professional. Jessica is professional, but she's the best kind of professional...she's normal. Instantly, she takes on the persona of a life long friend who you haven't seen in years. The photoshoot is not intimidating, but rather fun. In fact, the whole day is fun...hair, makeup, lunch, dress up, laughs, photos...all of it. I highly recommend this experience with absolutely no hesitations.

I hadn't had professional pictures taken of me in over 20 years. I always had an excuse. I would think that I would do it when I lost weight or any other excuse I could find because of my insecurities. I spent the day with her and I gave her free reign to do whatever she wanted. I told her that I trusted her. I didn't even look in the mirror and the first time I saw myself was during the reveal. I decided to love myself just the way I was. Jessica is amazing. I couldn't be happier the way they turned out.
